Acoustic crossovers are electronic digital filters utilized in sound functions . A lot of individual loud speakers are  not able to covering the entirespeaker range from very low to very high frequencies withtolerable proportional volume & absence of distortion .Therefore as a rule high fidelety loudspeaker technology employ a blending of loud speaker drivers each handling a separate frequency band . Cross-over divide the sound network into discrete frequency bands that will be individually routed to loudspeakers fully optimized for those sound bands. An active crossover is different from a passive crossover simply because the division of the sound signal transpires before the signal is amplified. Active crossovers come in either analog or digital designs. In many cases digital active crossovers add in supplemental processing to the signal, to illustrate, equalization, delay & limiting. The job of a signal crossover is to actively split the sound signal into bands. Those are next seperately treated before all of them being blended all together.
